A nice afternoon at a family friendly rodeo & the largest in south Florida. There was plenty of parking, it was an easy in and out. We paid $5 to park & adult admission was $25, $14 for children. Credit cards were accepted. There were clean Porto potties, brochures, lots of food vendors with scouts selling popcorn, water and cotton candy in the bleachers. The bbq platters were huge & smelled delicious. We enjoyed sharing an Indian taco, it was enough for two.
The day started with bare back riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, down roping, bull riding and young woman racing around barrels. The Contestants came from all over the country to compete. Visitors were from Europe, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
We enjoyed the events, crowds, foods ... the day!

This place has a YMCA, with many activities for the whole family. Depending on the time of year, they have a lot of events., ex. Rodeo.

Used to come here back in the 60's, it has changed but for the better. Plenty of places to run, play ball, swim and a very large pavilion. There is also a YMCA on site. What I was most excited about was the fact that they still have the rodeo grounds. They were advertising for next January rodeo already.

Love the rodeo!!! If you never been there, I highly recommend. Fun for the entire family. Sit near the score board so you can see the bull & bronco riders closer. Awesome show!!!!

Harris Field Park is located right off of US1 in Homestead. This park is quite large and most people will have to drive from one end to another rather than walking the big distance. There are a bunch of fields throughout the grounds used for baseball, football, and soccer. There is also a YMCA on the property. Parking and admission are free.
