We were so excited to be able to get on a tour but the excitement ended once the tour began on this Tuesday! Our docent followed the six people on tour versus leading us. Those in the front of the six had no idea what was said. However, that was only a small part of the problem as every room... More

This is a beautiful home which was owned by the McFaddin family originally. Their daughter, Mamie McFaddin-Ward was the last of the family to live there. The family owned the land where the Spindletop oil well gusher was drilled.

This house is a treasure of decorative arts and shows the life of the upper class in Beaumont. The tour also includes a beautifully restored stable.

An amazing life long collection of a family of very early Texas settlers that became even wealthier with the discovery of OIL. The Mansion is full of family possessions from the 1800's -1982. You actually get to be the "FLY" on the wall and step back in time to a life of luxury and gracious living. Many talk down about... More

The McFaddin-Ward House Museum is a must see in Beaumont, Texas! I have grown up going to the museum to learn about local history and learn about how a family lived in the early 1900's. It is a fascinating museum with great stories and wonderful staff and volunteers. We always take friends and family to visit, whether they are just... More

What a wonderful tour! You learn how the very wealthy lived back in the early 1900s. All the stained glass, furniture, accessories were lovely. It's such a grand house; and also tour the carriage house. The docents were very knowledgeable. *make sure to take a $5 bill per person for the tour. *No purses, iPhones, cameras allowed!!

This was a wonderful tour of a beautifully preserved home. It is unusual in that is not restored but preserved as it was, which is amazing. There are still pocket doors. Original painted canvas from 1905 is still on the walls. There were a few places in the home where the family made changes later in the 1900s, but this... More

The house tour was absolutely amazing. Our tour guide Kim was so sweet and mentioned every single detail and made sure to answer any question we had. The house is stunning inside and out and I would definitely recommend this to everybody. It's a great way to learn about some Texas history and to spend time with your family.

We had an incredible experience in this vintage house museum. It's a steal at 5$ a person with a knowledgeable and friendly docent and staff. The amount of original pieces is extraordinary.
