This park is behind city hall adjacent to the port. It's nice they carved a park out of the area so people can take a break from the office. You can see a ship docked nearby and trains running regularly passed it. Definitely one of the more unique city parks I've ever seen. It's sort of long and skinny. River... More

Peaceful and interesting. There is even a boat trip that goes up and down the Neches if you can schedule yourself a spot on it. It's operated by Lamar University. Lovely place.

We were here last weekend and the area is quite lovely. I will say however that I drive a wheelchair accessible van and there was NO way I was going over those railroad tracks! So they are quite treacherous. BUT... you can park in the lot by the Civic Center and go under the small overpass to get to the... More

This is a great place to let kids run off extra energy. The playground equipment is a wooden maze of all kinds of activities.

Picnic tables, shady ramadas, trees, green lawns and a nice paved path lined with benches are all in great shape in this easy to access park. You do NOT have to cross the train tracks to enter this park as stated in another review. There is a parking lot with a pedestrian access tunnel under the tracks, you cannot miss... More

The only way to get to this park is to cross a railroad track. Deep, deep holes and woefully maintained. Why the City/County whoever does not FIX this is terrible. Vehicle damage is "high risk" and you know trying to get it repaired (if necessary) would be challenge. Unless this entrance is REPAIRED or you "walking" - Forget RiverFront Park!... More

Went with a friend just to walk and talk. Such a restful and peaceful atmosphere. It is located in downtown but seems so far removed from normal downtown hurriedness (if that is a word). We went in the evening so most businesses has closed and it was very nice.

Very nice park. Plenty of picnic tables to relax by the river. Gave 4 stars due to no permanent toilets, just portable ones.

It is right smack in downtown on the river. Nice benches for different views. Historical markers as well. Great history there. If you like to watch the boats go by this is your place.
