If you are short on time this is one of the hikes you should definitely do. If you hike a lot this is an easy trail, if you don't like to walk from your car to the store then this may be the hardest thing you have ever done. It is about 4.75 miles round trip and going out is... More

My husband and I climbed this trail to the #10 spot at the 'almost top' and it was so worth it! As seniors, we took it slow, but the trail was not crowded at all. The views are amazing!

We hike this every time we are in the park. Yes, it climbs steadily for 2.4 miles, but anyone can make it with a bit of perseverance and the views are great!

About a 1.5 hour hike up with plenty of stops to rest, as I am 7.5 months pregnant. Gorgeous views at the top, well worth the hike. Easy 1 hour route back down. We could have easily jogged some of the trail if I was in a different kind of shape!

This trail is as advertised by the park department, a moderate climb/walk, but worth every minute of it. The trail is very well maintained and took us 2 hours and 50 minutes at a easy to moderate pace with 4 breaks of 5-10 minutes (male 59, wife 53).

This Trail has amazing views and is not extremely strenuous to climb. Pretty much every time we would rest for a drink of water we would get to look down in the valleys below or at Casa Grande across the way. This was my favorite Trail at Big Bend.

A moderate to strenuous hike with a few tricky spots. Make sure to bring water and a picnic, binoculars, too!

This is a great trail for hikers like us who are not in great shape, but appreciate a great trail leading to beautiful views. Limited parking, Start early so you can find a place to park. The views at the top are wonderful. We also hiked the Window Trail...this one is far better.

We just finished 3 days of hiking in Big Bend National Park. Lost Mine Trail was our favorite hike. Lots of bang for your hiking buck! It offered great and varied views--one after the other-- plus, it was close to Chisos Mountain Lodge. Don't miss!

This is a 2.5 mile hike up and 2.5 mile hike back on a popular, well-groomed trail. The temps here were cool at the start, 10 degrees warmer up top and much windier. Our tween and teen daughters did well and it took about 3 hours. Bring plenty of water and well wrapped snacks (some bear activity in this part... More
