Beautiful panoramic view

If you are driving to Los Alamos or Bandalier National Monument, this is worth a 5 minute stop for a great panoramic view. It looks like something out of a Western movie.

I am a local, and I only live 1.5 miles away from this beautiful Overlook. If you are visiting Los Alamos, I truly believe it would be worth your time to drive the short jaunt to White Rock for this experience. TAKE A CAMERA! To get here, go down the scenic Main Hill, and turn right when you see the... More

I often stop here for lunch on my way to the Jemez Mountains. The parking is easy and the overlook itself is very accessible. There is a side walk and the walk is only a few yards. There are great photo opportunities and when quiet, you can hear the waterfall off the side. It's only a few minutes from the... More

Unfortunately, sometimes, there's a litter problem. It's still a beautiful tucked away spot to enjoy the beauty of the area.

Wow! This is a lovely park at the end of a neighborhood development with a TERRIFIC view of the Rio Grande from a number of cliff side settings. If you cannot find it, stop at the Visitor Center in White Rock and the friendly person there will give you an easy map. There were two or three cars there when... More

If you are in Los Alamos, you have to stop here for the stunning vista of the Rio Grande River running along the Jemez Mountains. And if you are staying overnight, do try to come here for the lovely sunrise view. This overlook park is easily accessed via a 5 minutes drive through a residential neighborhood from Highway 4. Hardly... More

While exploring the areas of Taos and Los Alamos, we looked up some directions to White Rock. While driving to it through a residential neighborhood, school and ball fields, our expectations were not very high. Once we arrived to the parking area and walked out to the overlook, we were so amazed! The vantage point is incredible and a nice... More

Gorgeous overlook of the Rio Grande and valley. Wonderful sunrises. Park has picnic tables, an RC car racecourse, soccer and softball fields and a playground.

You go through a residential neighborhood to get here and think this couldn't possibly be right, but it is! And it's a stunning view, just takes you completely by surprise!

We visited this easily accessible vista while traveling through White Rock. We were lucky to have a clear blue sky and could see for miles. The view down to the river and out to the mountains is fantastic! A well worthwhile side trip.
