This is one of the best local community theaters I have ever lived near. They offer great movies for all ages, great and different kinds of theater for all ages and sometimes even have well known names entertaining the audience. This theater has an art museum and offers classes, too. It is a beautiful venue, wheel chair accessible.

We have attended several shows at the Alden. Always a great production and a good price. Easy access and easy parking. Recently we saw "Footloose" and the cast was excellent. They are closing in the spring of 2017 for remodeling, but should have another location to accommodate their productions until its reopened. They offer several shows for younger children.

For McLean residences the Alden theatre is a wonderful local community theatre. The performances I have seen have been very good, many outstanding and the cost very reasonable. Can't beat the parking either, free and easy.

We've been so delighted with the quality of the musical shows produced. 1776 and Jesus Christ Superstar were just excellent, to name just the last two. The Alden is a lovely venue, comfortable, small, well kept, unobstructed, great sound system, etc. Yeah, a best kept secret.

This is the McLean Community Theater. It is a multi-use venue with the featured event being plays produced by the McLean Community Theater Group. I have attended several plays there and have never been disappointed. Musicals seem to dominate and I am always surprised at the high quality voices that appear. I most recently attended a renewal of GUYS AND... More

This theater has fantastic acoustics and good sight lines. There is generally original art to peruse in the gallery before the show. Staff is pleasant. Rows are long so if you get there late you will be climbing over people. It's a real gem.

The community is fortunate to have Alden Theatre as a center for the performing arts. While the quality of its performances varies from skilled amateurs to true professionals, the variety of presentations is something residents truly appreciate. There's not a bad seat in the house. Acoustics are pleasing for lectures, films and music.
