Better than Delicate Arch in Arches Park

This was a little of a challenging hike due to the angel of the rocks that we had to walk across, but on a dry day it is manageable and well worth the hike.

I've hiked to Corona Arch twice now and there was a big difference between the two experiences. First off, the things that were the same: the hike is about 1.5 miles in each direction. It is up a crayon outside of town (if you are leaving Moab heading north, it is the 2nd left turn after crossing the river). Most... More

This is my favorite kind of desert hiking. If you haven't much time, this is 2-3 miles (?) and not far from town. Beautiful desert scenery, cedars, and don't miss the little cairn town on the way. Bowtie Arch is very near Corona Arch, and rather hidden. Keep an eye out as you drive along the north side of the... More

It's a bit of hike out to Corona Arch but it is well worth it. The arch is amazing, and you get to see bowtie arch along the way. There are a couple parts where the path is close to the cliff's edge and two places you need to use a cable to get up, but its not too difficult.... More

You need to see the wonders of Arch National Park, then follow the signs to Canyon Riff then to Zion and other parks, they are all magnificent.

I have hiked out to this arch multiple times on various trips and you usually have the place to yourself due to the moderate, short hike and the distance your have to drive from town. Well worth a trip!

We did this as our last hike of the weekend. While challenging in some spots, the efforts are well worthwhile.

Dogs are allowed here. Several people had theirs with them. Great hike and the arch is in view from about a 1/2 mile in. This was my favorite hike because the rock is so smooth and the caves were everywhere.

The parking lot was full when we arrived (40 vehicles) but the hike is long enough and there are enough photo opportunities that hikers are pretty well spaced out on the trail. I would not attempt this hike on a hot, sunny day, especially with a dog. Our black lab was comfortable but it was about 45* on a sunny... More
