I love mountain biking, and this ride was an excellent workout with plenty of anaerobic climbs and fun zippy downhills. You're an excellent rider if you can do the trail without your foot hitting the ground. The traction is excellent, though, and you can climb...More

The entire loop is not for your average tourist- don't try it! Or stay on the practice loop. We're three experienced mountain bikers and while technically, I did not find the trail challenging, the steep uphills were tiring (it was our first time on bikes...More

This is it - Slickrock. The ride is advanced, but once you get into it (try not to brake going down before an uphill), it's a great roller coaster ride. The views are tremendous. There's no way around. It - this is a great classic...More

Slickrock is the real thing for hard core mountain bikers! It can be vusy and crowded, but there are trails for all levels of riders and the payoff is a view of the red rocks that cant be beat. Come ready to work as this...More

Riding slick rock was like nothing else. We'd been riding in Utah for about 9 days on a variety of different trails but nothing quite like Slick rock. I'm so pleased it was in the itinerary. Smooth, grippy (real grippy even off camber), steep, tough...More

You have been told that "you have to ride Slickrock if you go to Moab". While this is reasonable to very strong riders, I would add that beginners will have a better time walking part of it and watching some technique of the skilled riders....More

The ride may be a bit much for beginners or even some intermediate riders but this is a trail every mountain biker needs to do at least once. The constant flowing rock trail is such an unique experience and the scenery is beautiful. The last...More

For many years, as a mountain biker, I've heard of the Moab Slick Rock trail. On this trip it was a must. I'm not a young insane rider, but I just wanted to try it. Many in town warned me about it being a true...More

You can do it but you may want to save your energy for the trail. It is about 3 miles from downtown with some pretty good ascents.
