We had a group of about 10 people ride during Thanksgiving week this past November. A word to describe our experience: wow!! The scenery was absolutely beautiful. The horses did a great job- I ended up getting a grumpy horse, but as I have experience with horses, I know they can be temperamental. We got to ride for 2.5 hours.... More

Thanks so much for visiting us! Sorry you got a grump. Next time, ask the wrangler to trade horses with him or her. That might change that horse's attitude! More

This was worth every penny, every minute in the saddle. Even for our one never been on a horse relative. The horses are well cared for and were as responsive as these type of horses can be. We rode to the Colorado River where the horses waded in and were able wet their whistles. The scenery was great and what... More

Hauer Ranch is well maintained and the animals appeared healthy and tack was in good working condition. Our guide, Charlie, was knowledgeable, delightfully friendly and super patient with our 6 year old daughter. I highly recommend this group if you plan to go horseback riding in Moab. The scenery along the trail will stay with me forever.

I have been riding horses for most of my life and have always wanted to ride a mule. When I found the opportunity with Moab Horses, I jumped at the chance! I was not disappointed! John Hauer is a superb trail guide. He gave me, and my friend, the best ride we could have ever hoped for. The information he... More

While in Moab we wanted to go horseback riding. We found a couple of places that did trail riding but we chose Moab horses. The reason we did is I am a bigger guy 6' 230lbs and this was the only ranch we found that could accommodate me(the others had a 220lb weight limit). The ride was spectacular. Very scenic... More

Not all guides a people-persons, but our guide, Heather, certainly was. She told us about the natural features of the area, as well as which movies were filmed on the land, plus some of the history of Moab. The horses and mules were generally well-behaved (our group ranged in age from 13-46). I thought the price was great ($75 for... More

Myself and my 12 year old daughter (who are both used to riding in the UK) took a morning ride with a guide and another two clients. The guide was knowledgable and took the time to find out what we wanted to do and how experienced we were. He led the ride giving us options as we went. The scenery... More

Took the family to Moab for a few days. We decided to go horse back riding and got an evening ride with James. We all had a great time. The ride lasted about 2.5 hours and the views and pictures are amazing. Evening was the best time to go. It cools off pretty good and the lighting is perfect for... More

I booked late the previous day and was fortunate to be able to book a morning ride with my bf. It turned out we were the only two who had booked in so we enjoyed our very own personal chaperone! It was a very relaxing 2 1/2 hour ride around a loop in the Red Cliffs area. We got totally... More

My husband and I took the sunset trail ride. Our group consisted of a total of 8 people, all of us beginner riders. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The scenery was out of this world.

Thank you very much for riding with us! We do our best to give our guests a great experience. Tonight we had a double rainbow! Let me take this opportunity to remind prospective guests that any cancellations or modifications to their reservations are locked in within 24 hours of their ride, much the same as an airline ticket, a concert...
