We didn’t plan on going to Arches this route, but GPS routed us this way due to traffic in Moab. Wow!!! So much better than the other route! It was beautiful and isolated for most of the way! There were a few pull outs that...More

Many visitors to Moab go there for mountain biking. The trail and then road along route 128 is excellent for road biking. The road surface is in very good condition for the first 25 miles from Rt 191 and relatively good after that. The scenery...More

It is worth going out of your way to drive the Riverway either coming to or leaving Moab. Beautiful Scenery and tons of camping if you need a place to set up for the night.

We took Route 128 on leaving Moab for Salt Lake. It added a 1.5 hour to the trip but was well worth it as we had the time. It is a slow drive but filled with plenty of scenic vistas following the river for the...More

Nice ride, so happy to take this road since it is a good way to see the Colorado river. Our destination was a winery that had great wines.

This year drove south on 128 into Moab. It's a beautiful drive. A great side trip into Castle Valley. Lots of camping that I will explore next time. Unbelievably dramatic river and red rock views. Absolutely worth the drive and worth exploring.

This is an easy side trip from the Moab/Arches area. The full trip can be done in a couple of hours or less (maybe 3 hours with photo stops). The loop follows Utah Route 128 and can be done by entering just north of town,...More

Although we did not access the river, looks like there are many good places to do so. Also a lovely bike trail that follows the river. There was camping and lodging right next to the river. The road joins Colorado National Monument and Arches NP.

Wish we could have driven farther but we were on a mission to find dinosaur foot prints and petroglyphs. The turnout for the dinosaur prints was dusted over with sand which made driving difficult. Their was some signage for the petroglyphs but they're hard to...More

The colorado riverway rund east from Moab or you can come from the east off of Interstate 70. You could do the drive as a day trip in about 3 hours from Moab to I-70 and then back to Moab. It is worth the time.
