My husband calls this the Moab version of the largest ball of twine...you need to see it, but once will suffice. The Rock house is worth the $6.00 tour price. You must have be prepared with a good sense of humor before starting the tour - it is a bit odd, but fun if you approach with an open mind.... More

Seriously, don't miss this!! I do not see why this isn't the #1 attraction in Moab, even with the national parks. Picture these ingredients: Albert C. a prohibition-era, regional "family" moonshine business. Handiman turned bootleger, Albert gets caught goes to jail then gets paroled. Finds Gladys who has willingness to live in a cave next to the highway in the... More

nothing earth shattering here. A lot of the same old, same old stuff in most places like this. If you like signs with clever sayings this might be a place for you to visit. We did buy a bag of candy that was very fresh.

An interesting stop as you drive South from Moab. This "home" is the work of a man determined to create something unique by burrowing in the redrock. Tours give a standardized patter about the place. Main attraction in the 'living room' is a stuffed burro that once did most of the rock hauling during construction. There is a gift shop... More

This looks like a neat place but it seemed like a quite a bit of money to pay for looking at a house built into the stone.

Pretty hokey stuff going on here. I don't know who this appeals to but I wish I got the time I took to check it out added back to my lifespan.

There is a lot to like about this place, but ultimately the negative aspects outweighed the positive for me. I'll start with what I liked. There is a feeling of creativity, campiness, and irreverence here that you don't see every day. I liked hearing about the history of the place and the diner that they used to run there. The... More

I am sorry that you felt that way about the zoo. Our animals are well taken care of. If they weren't eating, it was probably because they had already been fed that morning and weren't hungry. On any beautiful sunny day, you will find all of the animals up and greeting the visitors. You said so yourself that it was... More

Tacky, keitchy, eclectic, and any other adjective you can think of but still kind of fun. Next time I will try the tour. Definitely worth stopping but I would not make it a destination. If you are heading south of Moab it's worth the stop.

we wanted to see the house, but they charge A LOT to get inside and you can't take pictures. if i can't take pictures, i can't show people how cool it might be! therefore, i can't recommend it to anyone! the gift shop was so-so. there is a zoo there. didn't go in. can't imagine that animals have to live...
