My wife and I intended to follow the 6.3 mile lakeside trail on a quiet weekday afternoon, After a mile or so we decided that the limited views didn't really justify the effort, so we followed an alternative route to head for the road leading into the park. The lake presents a very tranquil spot for water recreation - at... More

I have been to several state parks to take the grand children swimming. Holiday Lake had the clearest water so far that I have seen. The children got a kick out of seeing the minnows and small fish. The children's area have a crawl through frog and a floating frog for them to sit on. There were lots of things... More

Clean, friendly, good concessions!! Love visiting Holliday Lake! Didn't camp this time...but have in the past!! They have beautiful scenery...areas for groups...private picnic tables overlooking the lake...picnic areas are not crowded together.

This was a nice campground with good facilities and a nice beach/lake area. The staff were very friendly. Two big issues we had: 1. It's nice for police/rangers to be visible to discourage loud/obnoxious behavior that ruins everyone's experience. However, there's a difference between this and an over-zealous patrol, and Holliday Lake goes a little over-board on the patrol. 2.... More

Great Park. Great location. Red Bud loop sites quite close to one another. Fantastic tent and pop up camping sites. Felt like this loop was converted from great tent sites to OK trailer/RV sites. The restroom was smaller but well maintained and clean. Has two showers stalls. The Laurel Ridge loop seemed pretty new and are clearly made for RV/trailers.... More

This is one of the best campgrounds we have been too. The sites are smaller and only allow one tent on them at a time but they do have electric and water at each site. Our site was shaded and set back from the road. The staff was very helpful and polite. The lake was gorgeous and had plenty for... More

This is the best campground I've ever visited. The campsites are large and level (with crushed stone) and landscaped with huge timbers. Fire pits were very clean with no burnt wood laying around. Picnic tables are movable with newer wood table tops and seats. Each site has electric and its own water. Bathroom and shower areas were very clean as... More
