This candy store is organized by time period which is neat to see when different candies came out. Some candies are homemade and other include known favorites such as Chuckles, Altoids, and Taffy. Some things are very pricey and prices are not on items....6 chocolate covered cherries were $10.

What a gem of a shop and oh what sweet surprises. We stopped at True Treats today and it's our first time in their shop. What a wonderful little candy store. Everything is separated historically and it's so much fun to see the History of Candy. The staff are also a wealth of information of everything related to candy. Of... More

Owner is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of candy and very friendly! This shop is a must when in Harpers Ferry. Our kids tell their friends about it. HUGE variety and reasonable prices.

This store is indeed amazing. It's a journey back in time, where you can find a huge variety of sweets and candy from different historical periods. Finding the candy I enjoyed during my childhood made me so happy. Don't miss the opportunity to learn and also to enjoy the sweetest treats.

Are you a foodie? Yeah? Have you tried Turkish Rose Pedal candies that was once enjoyed in the 1500s? No? Well go to True Treats and become a real foodie!! Try candies that were once enjoyed by people from royalty to slaves. This is one of the most unique candy stores I've ever been to and I've been to many.... More

The proprietress knows all about candy--how it's made, when it was popular--she sells the candies your parents, your grandparents, and your great great great great grandparents loved. Stop in, learn something, and walk out with a bag of deliciousness.

The candy here is certainly out of the ordinary, which makes it fun to explore, However, if you go to the back of the store, you will also find some floral elixirs that can be combined with a light prosecco or spiked sparkling water to get a very nice summer beverage! Give it a try!

I think the name of the store is now "True Treats" not "Cool Confectionaries." I'm so glad we went into this store. History and candy! The woman working there (I'm not sure if she was the owner or an employee) was very friendly and took time to explain the layout of the store and even gave us a little history... More

We stopped in here on Sunday and loved this place. Where else can you get a history lesson and candy all in one? The shop has a cozy feel to it and the lady running the shop was wonderful and friendly. We will make sure to come back to this store when we are in the area again. The Caramel... More
