We had a great time canoeing with River Riders. Next time we will go tubing. With the canoe you have to paddle upstream and then you can coast down stream. Folks were great. Make sure to arrive early.

River Riders is a fantastic organization, extremely well run. The Canopy Tour is my third attraction with this company, two tubing runs being my first two. They seem to usher through thousands of people during the weekend with what appears to be flawless execution. The...More

Very fun. Go on humpday (Wednesday) for the discount. Well organized. Tubes were great. We rented the deluxe and the tube tracker with paddles. Great family activity especially when combined with sightseeing. Try Antietem. Nice workers. Complete your waiver BEFORE you go. Great changing facilities....More

It isn't exactly what I was expecting but it was way way better. The staff was very friendly and they actually have people coming down the river the same time as you are in kayaks checking on riders. I went with some friends and we...More

River Riders puts on a great tubing trip down the Potomac River. We had class 1-3 rapids and some nice, calm spots. They had a good training video and then handed out these smelly life jackets probably worn by the previous tubers. They then bused...More

Lots of fun with my daughter. I wish there were a couple more courses on the low to mid skill level, but what we did do was very enjoyable. A slightly different experience from the other adventure course we've done. Slightly different equipment, but essentially...More

On their website, under FAQ Tubing questions, there is a map showing where the tubes are put in the water, and where you float on the river, and location to exit. You could use the same points on your own trip. Parking... More

Yes. No glass. There are signs about no alcohol but they do not enforce it. Some people tie a small cooler to their tube, or you can rent a cooler float. Walmart sells them for about $5. Hope that helps!
