About
Hauser’s Superior View Farm a five-generation family greenhouse, nursery, orchard, and cidery nestled on the shores of Lake Superior in Bayfield, Wisconsin. You learn some important lessons when you do something for over 100 years. You learn there is no substitute for experience. You understand substance outlasts trends. And you appreciate doing things the right way isn’t just the best way. It’s the only way. That’s the spirit we have lived up to since our farm was founded in 1908. Nestled on a hill overlooking the majestic Apostle Islands of Lake Superior, our farm still has many of the original heirloom apple trees planted more than 100 years ago. We invite you to learn more about what makes this area so special.

This vineyard is up the hill. Nice views. Unique spot with character. The wine is on the sweet side. We did a wine tasting- Wine is very sweet-- only $5- keep the glass- they also have an area in the barn with antiques which is kind of cool. Apples for sale. Very good. Was a fun hour or so-

I went in to taste and purchase wine. I was not greeted so I walked around to figure out where tasting was, etc. I went to the tasting and a lady was serving a group of 4. I picked up the paper and waited at the bar...and waited She wouldn't acknowledge me. If she only serves 4 at a time I would have gladly waited but she completely ignored me. I walked around some more and came back to the tasting to try again and she did the same thing. So I went to the front of the store to take a chance without tasting and purchase some wine. The man that was at the counter walked away as I was about to select a few bottles of wine. I would have liked to ask him about the wine but by that point I just wanted to buy it and go. I waited at the counter (the girl that was doing the tasting saw me waiting and again did not acknowledge me). After a few more minutes I left empty handed. I have never had a business not take my money. I will never return. There are so many wineries and orchards in the area, don't waste your time. Skip this one and use your time on the others that are so wonderful! I had excellent experiences at the others.

We expected a bit more, since the advertising was plenty. Store is full of kitch.. and there wasn't a lot of stock. The view from the top is nice.. but obstructed.

We went on the Fruit Loop in Bayfield today and stopped in at 6-7 orchard/wineries. About half of them have small shops and half of them do not. Hauser's was clearly the "pick of the crop"! It had the best stocked gift shop with orchard related gadgets, DELICIOUS pretzels, wine, fruit, vegetables, jams, mustards and the chance to taste many of their offerings. We went in needing nothing and came out with a bag stuffed full of jams and jellies, and mustards and pretzels for Holiday Gifts.

We stopped on a whim after a hike. The Sears mail order barn was cool to see. The wines were good with different combinations, but a hair pricey in my opinion. You can sample 5 wines and keep the glass for $5. What I liked the most was all the jar foods. We got to sample the different things they sell. We ended up buying cranberry salsa, maple mustard (to die for), and apple cider jam. All 3 items are really amazing. The gentleman helping us was nice and helpful.

Sept 2013 • Family
The Hauser family where so warm and welcoming! As we pulled up to Hauser's Superior View Orchard we realized it was closed for the afternoon...we were a little bummed out when all of a sudden we got welcomed into their home by some local friends of the family. They asked who we were and I told them that my boyfriends last name was Hausser as well (only with an extra "S") and we were hoping to taste some wine. When they finally realized we weren't related to them, and we were just terrorist they still invited us into their home, and offered us something to eat and drink, but we graciously declined. The Hausser family not only accidently invited us into their home, but they were nice enough to take my friends and I up to the barn and have a private wine tasting.....we left with a case of wine, and some other goodies. I give the Hauser family 5 stars because they make you feel like family, they're down to earth, and they're a wonderful family. Thank you Hauser's!!!

The various homemade ciders from Hauser's are truly delicious... we taste-tested all of them and went home with a nice crisp one.

We also walked around the orchard while drinking their cider on a day that was just perfect... about 65 degrees and sunny.

We highly recommend travelling here.
