The lookout is nice, but is so high up you can't really see anything in detail. However, there is a hike that takes you to the actual beach by Bird Island. That is a great hike, and the snorkelling there is terrific - on a calm day. We loved it so much on our first visit, we went back again at the end of our stay. Unfortunately, the waves were big, and the snorkelling was cloudy and difficult to fight the current. On the good day, we saw a huge variety of sea life including a smaller black tip shark (these are safe and non aggressive).

The views of the ocean, Bird Island, and the surrounding area are worth the trip. While you only need about 15 minutes, you should still take time out to go here.

We didn’t go down to the island but we had a great view of it from the road and the view point area. The contrast of colors between the water and the coastline is gorgeous.

Easy to drive to beautiful photo spot. As with all places, do not leave valuables insight in your car. I say this, but I will tell you I was by myself with my 6 year old Son and felt perfectly safe. They even had security guards roaming all the tourist sight seeing points.

Located on the Pacific Ocean side of Saipan, Bird Island is a striking islet which can be easily seen from roadside viewing areas. A great photo op.

I loved to see the sunrise here and the shooting stars at night was the highlight of my families trip to Saipan.

We went to the lookout point before sunrise, it's a magical experience. The scenery is breathtaking. The island itself is a protected bird sanctuary so you cannot actually get there, but being there while the sun rises and all the birdies wake up is truly a magical experience.

The view is beautiful but the guide hurried us after taking a photo. If you have time it seem like a good place to hike down to. However, I haven't seen any birds while I was there.
