What really makes this tour great is the fun and knowledgeable tour guide Marie and bus driver Bryan! They really make a great team! I never knew there were so many movies that had San Francisco in them! This tour is well worth the money and time! Very well done!

Excellent tour with knowledgable guide. You don't just get to find out where films were shot but the stories behind them. And it's a great way of seeing SF. Thoroughly recommended.

One could spend hours on the internet looking up movies that have been filmed in San Francisco and then try to navigate through the city to find these places. OR, you could book a movie tour through San Francisco Movie Tours. This three hour tour (insert cheesy Gilligan's Island music here) was a must-see for both movie fans and those... More

Very enjoyable bus tour of San Francisco movie filming locations. An extensive list of sites were visited during the three hour tour. The shuttle bus is a good size in order to be able to hear the tour guide and to navigate the historic areas. The tour guide is very engaging and knowledgeable about the movie industry and the sites... More

Fun, interesting time. We visited numerous film locations accompanied by the actual film clips and also enjoyed sightseeing in this beautiful city where we work. Great for a group of natives or visitors to San Francisco!

Excellent tour. You are taken to numerous real sites in SF which have been used in movies over the years. And while driving around, you also get to see the movie clip on a video screen where the location is featured. The guide is a movie buff himself so knows lots of the stories behind the casting and the sites... More

Our tour guide was very informative and funny. I was impressed she remembered everyone's name on the tour. It was great to see all the movie locations in person that we saw in the movies. Lots of stops to take photos. The three we liked the best were City Hall, Golden Gate Bridge and the house were Mrs. Doubtfire was... More

My friends and I had done a similar tour in Monterey, so we were sure this tour would be good as well, and it was! The van is small (no more than 23 people), so you get an intimate view of the sights. Marie was very knowledgeable about movie trivia, and extremely helpful in taking pictures. Bryan was an excellent... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
