I truly enjoyed this tour. Brian the guide was personable, kind, informative, and a veteran of SF. He has a great relationship with the community and as a result we were able to enjoy and experience an amazing and memorable time. The tour you need to be on!

Scott L. was our tour guide and he was excellent. His knowledge of Chinatown and his insight to history made this a memorable experience. We had great food with Peking Duck, egg custards and Bao’s along the way. The final stop of having a tea tasting experience really opened our eyes to an old beverage enjoying it very differently than normal tea drinking. May was very helpful and so pleasant to us uninformed customers. But the best time was seeing and having Scott explain all the significance of Chinatown and all that it brought in historical and social significance. Well worth the time and money to enjoy while visiting SF

This food tour was the best! I’ve been on several food tours throughout the world, and this was excellent. Our tour guide Brian was knowledgeable and humorous. We experienced many different tastes of the area and got a nice history too. Highly recommend this tour and looking forward to doing another with this company soon.

Thank you Brian and Tom,

Our walking tour of Chinatown & North BeachLittle Italy was awesome! We had such a great time. Brian(tour guide) was full of great information and background of the city’s history and culinary delights. Since we were a small group he was able to add a few (2) extra stops. We were all full and really liked all the food we ate. From being greeted with onion rolls and BBq pork buns to chocolates from a couple places, excellent tea tastings, Anthony Bourdain's top 3 best hamburgers, then ending the night with Margarita pizza and cannoli. I can’t leave out the delicious baked potstickers, peking duck, spring rolls and shrimp dimsum, then the fortune cookie company, my students loved it all. To any and all contemplating which company to go with I vote for this company as I have been taking my culinary classes on Toms tours for well over 10 years. He is always changing up the restaurants to give us the taste of the town that is the best ever. Just a few tips – remind your group to bring a jacket, know where you can park especially if you have a tall van that might get stuck in the low garages. Thanks again Tom and Brian.

If you want to really experience Chinatown and North Beach on a local level, you must do this tour. It is worth every penny and then some. Brian was our guide and he simply made the tour. He combined history with humor and stopped us at places that we would have never walked into on our own. From delicious dumplings, stopping in a world famous wok makers store, to an amazing Chinese sit down lunch, to a tea tasting, surprise stop at Anthony Bourdain’s favorite burger spot, fortune cookie making factory, best canoli, and yummy Sicilian pizza to end the night. Our teens and 8 year old rated this as their favorite San Francisco experience. Hands down. Thank you Brian for showing us your town and for introducing us to amazing cuisine.

We had a wonderful time on this tour along with our two year old. Brian was an exceptional guide and I appreciated his sense of humour and knowledge of the history of the local area. I loved the elements of culture that were included along with the food too.

The food was brilliant and I particularly enjoyed the salami and focaccia. Our two year old loved the pizza! Thanks for a wonderful part of our family holiday.

Excellent tour with a great guide! His name is Doug, Hi I’m Doug, hey remember me I’m Doug! I’m sure he will tell you what his name is once or twice. Very informative and entertaining, great dad jokes! Loved it thanks Doug!

Andre was the best. He kept our group engaged for over 3 hours in the sometimes pouring rain! That speaks to his passion for the city and knowledge of the history and food. Book this tour if you want to see, smell and taste the real Chinatown. You won’t be disappointed!! We also came away with some thoughtful souvenirs as well as memories and photos from the businesses he shared with us.
Thanks Andre!

The oldest Chinatown in North America, the largest Chinese community outside of Asia, and the more densely populated area of San Francisco is really better than any other Chinatown I've been to. Especially the restaurants, after a week of eating and drinking in Chinatown
