Absolutely gorgeous architecture and design in a gritty neighborhood of San Francisco. Highly recommended. No offense, but it felt like I was in New York city. Saw and heard a great rock performance. Hedwig and the Angry Inch was outstanding.

We went and saw Angels Lansbury on Sunday January 25. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous what else can I say. Not only was the play great but the ushers were very helpful. There is one drawback at this theater, not enough restrooms for women. We waited 10 minutes, on long stairs to use the restroom. The alcohol drinks were around $14 each.... More

with great shows. I took my mother to see I Love Lucy and she really enjoyed it. The seats were wider than other theaters so we didnt feel sqished. The only thing is that the bathrooms are very badly located.

We went to see "Once" on June 28, 2014 and yes, even the most expensive orchestra seats (we were in the center of orchestra row L) will not guarantee that you have a good view of the stage, since each row is only about 3.5 inches (9 cm) raised above the previous row, so anyone even moderately tall in front... We walked up to the window and asked for best seats available and then did not actually look at the seating chart. BIG MISTAKE. We were in the balcony, which I think is very close to heaven, but still, we were miserable. It was soooo hot and stuff and we could not hear half of what was said. So at... More

We saw "Once" here this weekend. I have been going to shows at the Curran for about 35 years now- ever since I moved to the city 35 years ago. We loved the show, so we are giving a 3. On the other hand, the theatre is charming but it really needs a facelift. The place is dirty. The seats... More

I had the fortune of obtaining tickets at a few hours notice for the Curran just a few weeks ago. Since I was travelling from the East Bay I normally consider 1 hour of commute time for traffic but it happened to be Santa Claus Con in San Francisco and of course holiday shoppers, parties, nevertheless we arrived an hour... We have seen many plays at the Curran Theatre, the experience is always very good. It is our prefered venue for theatre in the city.

We were lucky enough to get tickets to 'Beautiful' that coincided with a pre planned girl friend get away. The Curran was very near our hotel and nicely located near many nice cafes, restaurants. We LOVED the theater. We liked that is wasn't such an enormous theater, large enough but an intimate feel. We heard complaints about the restrooms, none... More
