Bay Voyager is happy to announce the opening of our new location at Pier 39...

Bay Voyager is happy to announce the opening of our new location at Pier 39 in San Francisco! The range of tours offered by Bay Voyager include viewing historic ships, visiting former mooring sites of abandoned gold rush ships, and experiencing active estuaries populated by cargo ships and tug boats. You’ll see the San Francisco waterfront, cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge, around Alcatraz, Under the Bay Bridge to the Port of Oakland, past AT&T Park (Home to the San Francisco Giants) and Back to Pier 39. While Bay Voyager does have specific routes, deviation is an integral part of the experience, making each adventure an engaging and exhilarating encounter.According to owner and captain, Charles Jennings, “we feel there is a need to provide more intimate and individualized tours that travel closer and give more in depth guided tours. By being in a small and agile vessel, guests can have an up close and personal adventure while traveling to all corners of the always-fascinating bay.”

We went on the RIB boat with Capt Charles last week while in town for the Pats game. We lucked out and only had 2 other people on the boat with us, and one of them was an old maritime classmate of Capt Charles and he had some cool history to add to the tour, so that was an unexpected... More

We had a fantastic, exciting time with Captain Charles and five children aged 4-9. We loved how fast the boat goes. It was a wonderful adventure and Captain Charles made it very special for our son (see quote in title). Thanks!

Captain Charles provides a very personalized tour of the San Francisco waterfront. I'm prone to sea sickness and was surprised at how smooth the ride is on his small boat! We've tried one of the larger tour boats going out to the golden gate bridge in the past. The ride on those top heavy boats isn't for land lubbers like... More

We had a great day combining Alcatraz in the morning and the Bay voyager trip in the afternoon. It was a beautiful clear October day. Captain Charles was entertaining, knowledgeable and passionate. The RIB boat ensures a small personal tour. All safety aspects are very professionally addressed at the dock and from then on it is fun and spectacular views... More

I wasn't sure about spending 90 minutes on a boat in the sea, but we were more than happy with the tour. Charles is a very good guide and a very likable fellow. From the close encounter with the seals to the unbeatable view from below the Golden Gate Bridge, this was an awesome way to get familiar with the... More

This is good FUN, FUN, FUN!!!! Charles knows the bay, and how to show you a good time. This is a really great way to see San Francisco Bay, learn some history and get up close to the Golden Gate AND Bay Bridges, plus the entertaining Sea Lions. Waterproof/Windproof gear is provided (and necessary), every seat has a great view,... More

Firstly, Captain Charles is the best Captain in town. We did a bunch of touristy stuff in San Francisco and this was easily the best experience we had on our trip. We got lucky with the weather and had a great trip with amazing views out past the golden gate bridge, passing pelicans flying in formation and other bird life... More

Bay Voyager is THE BEST way to see San Francisco bay. We had Capt Mike, excellent guide and pilot! Learned a lot about SF and its history - lot of anecdotes and a lot of fun. The bay boat experience was followed by the Alcatraz cruise, a ten minute walk to that pier. Book your tickets - a great experience... More

This was a huge risk taking little kids -- I mean, *little*. We had two 4 year olds and two 6 years olds and everyone loved the boat! Captain Charles was very enthusiastic to take on our crew and the kids had a great time. My 4 year old daughter has already asked me to take her back on the... More
