Sort of down below in Golden Gate Park, the AIDS grove is a special place filled with beauty as well as sadness, quietude backed up by activism.
Simply beautiful way to acknowledge the impact of AIDs on the San Francisco community. One thought is to re-do the maps --- the dimensions are seriously out of whack! It's very small, easily walkable, and there's a wheelchair ramp as well.
What a lovely section of the park! We were very surprised to hear that it is taken care of by volunteers! So peaceful and quite it was a wonderful little spot to stop and enjoy during our day!
Enjoyed a walk on the marked paths and throughout the unpaved forest grove, which was larger than I expected. Many places to sit and reflect throughout; don't miss the stone memorial, with an overwhelming amount of names of loved ones lost to AIDS.

My teen didn't want to go through it but I insisted. :) It was a tranquil walkway with folks sitting, reading and hanging out on a beautiful day.

If you happen to be in the park go and visit this. It is not only extremely moving it's also a haven for peace and tranquility
This is a nice spot in Golden Gate Park. It's a good place to sit in quiet reflection or to take a peaceful walk.
