We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to Monterey and Carmel. It was around 12 hours but nice to sit back and take in the scenery. The coastline is stunning and we found we had plenty of time in both towns with convenient drop off/pick up points. Tickets for the Aquarium are very reasonable when booked with the tour and we... Good value. Driver very informative on way to woods. I would have preferred longer at the woods and perhaps not bother with Sausalito trip to finish but that's my personal opinion and still rate the half day trip as excellent. However didn't quite understand why we couldn't hand driver our booking confirmations and go straight from the Hotel Instead picked... More

Long day. Starts about 8:30 am, bus departs at 9 am. Beautiful drive to Monterey with A road side photo stop and a stop for self purchased snacks. There is a restroom on the bus but we were encouraged to make use of the facilities at our many stopping points. Driver Ray was very cordial and knowledgeable. He spoke of... More

The bus was always on time. The only time we waited for a long time was for the trolley to Sausalito. We waited for an hour and no green bus came! Anyway, our favorite tour guide was Anthony - very very hilarious fella, we learned a lot, not sure If they were actually facts though lol. Our least fave was... More

We opted for Gray Line Hop-on, Hop-off bus tour. We boarded the bus just one block from our hotel, Sheridan at Fisherman's Wharf. They have several buses running daily. and you can hop on or hop off a bus about every minutes. Rode on the top, open air section of the bus. Great views and knowledgeable tour guides and safe... We booked a tour online before getting to San Fransisco for Alcatraz, Muir Woods and Sausalito. When we arrived in the morning, early as they had told us, we were told they would announce the tour at 9am. All other tours were announced and we were still waiting. After indicating 2 or 3 different buses to get on we finally... More

I spent £288 for a day trip to Monterey 2 weeks in advance. I based all my week around this trip on Wednesday. On Tuesday I was emailed a cancellation for the tour. Email was vague but bottom line is my kids miss out on a trip to a place we really wanted to visit. They left it so late... More

Took the Grayline tour.... went to Union Square where several companies stop and was asking questions of one company, when a young man from Grayline approached me and offered a great deal (not busy on a Monday morning) We got 2 tickets for $35 each - as opposed to the $45 -$50 that the other companies were looking for. So... More

My wife and I spent 2 days and a night time tour using this service. We found all the guides to be informative, all had their own personality. Soda pop and the young man who has a drivers license but hasn't driven for years were both informatitive and funny. I have seen comments posted about the timeliness of the tour.... More
