This is a gorgeous spot and you can get to it on the muni bus. Take a stroll by the apostles ashing sea, it's really quite pretty and a must see for nature lovers.

We love coming here any time we get a chance. It's great for a stroll, run or bike ride, for adults and kids alike. The views are beautiful no matter whether it's busy or peaceful. It can get cold and windy.

Excellent point to enjoy the spectacular view of the golden gate bridge and the Pacific ocean! Check the weather forecast before heading to the promenade. You will enjoy more if you have appropriate clothing.

Best kept secret of San Francisco, not so touristy and you can get a good view of the Golden Gate without having to hassle with the crowds.

Great walk along the seafront until you're standing practically under the Golden Gate Bridge. Only bad thing to say it that, once at the bridge, you have to backtrack a fair bit to find the path UP to the bridge to then walk across it.

From the Fort to the marina boat slips, you will be delighted that you choose this path. The views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the headlands, angel island , bay bridge and Alcatraz make this the quintessential San Francisco walk way.

Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful
backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to
the Marina. Originally the location for the
Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose
remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much
of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a
world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a
jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city.

There are a couple of parking lots in different areas along the bay, but I know for sure there is one where the parking is free. It isn't very big, so it fills up quickly, but it is free. It is right by Crissy Field and... More
