Since its' founding in 1995 Biscuits and Blues has made a home in the heart of San Francisco and has served hot biscuits and cool blues ever since. The venue is lucky to have some of the best Blues musicians in the world right here in the city, and has been honored time and time again as the Bay Area's #1 Blues club. For 20 years Biscuits and Blues has earned the respect of the Blues community and has been named America's #1 Blues nightclub by both the Blues Foundation and by the Bay Area Blues Society. Six nights a week Biscuits and Blues works to keep the blues alive with two shows a night. If it's Blues, they approve: Delta, Chicago, Texas, Boogie-woogie, Gospel, Old-time, Jazz, Brass and Soul. On any given night you'll find ribs on the grill, New Orleans-style Gumbo in the pot, and Creole Jambalaya hot off the pan. Biscuits and Blues also serves California wines, local microbrews and their signature selection of specialty cocktails from their full service bar.

We were Uberring by and I saw this place with a play bill calendar list on the street. We looked it up and saw that the next night Bid Daddy Cade and his All Stars were performing a B.B. King Tribute night. Loving the blues, and BB King, we all agreed to go and try it out. This is a... More

We traveled to SF on a spur of the moment travel deal. It also happened to be a major anniversary for us. We were able to book a last-minute VRBO on Nob Hill then investigated, via internet, blues clubs. So happy we found Biscuits and Blues! It happened to be a BB King appreciation night. After trekking up and down... More

I try to make it a habit - if I'm in San Francisco, I'm spending an evening at Biscuits and Blues! This basement blues bar feels like an old speak easy, and I suggest eating before you go. There are so many fantastic restaurants in San Fran.....this isn't really one of them, but the music has been incredible each time... More

My husband and I were looking for somewhere to eat, and two places we stopped at first couldn't fit us in until 10.30! So we decided to stop in at Biscuits and Blues to see some music. We were charged at the door, but it was totally worth it to get downstairs and be seated right in front of the... More

Don't be fooled by outward appearance of this place. Live music was entertaining and soulfully good. The food was pretty darn good too and drinks were excellent. Be sure to make reservations in advance, but if they completely booked don't give up. We waited on standby, and as soon as the show started were immediately sat. We will definitely revisit... More

I am so happy we spent our last evening in SF at Biscuits and Blues. We had the opportunity to see Davy Knowles, who is immensely talented and put on a great show. The setting was cozy and the sound was great. The food, as others have mentioned, is a little overpriced, but it was delicious nonetheless – and you... More

We called on Friday to see if there were any tickets left for Saturday night and we were lucky to scoop 4! And at $24 they are such a great price. We arrived in the line at about 8.40pm and were shown to a fab table quite near the front. The venue is small which makes the music so much... More

Went 7pm show last night, brilliant soul band. Small room with not a bad seat in the house. Very intimate setting. Gould selection of southern food, good servers. Easy to get to if you are staying near union square. Really good night.

We really enjoyed this! It's loud and not cheap but you are supporting real, live, working musicians and it was so good. The space is nice and clean and friendly. People having a good time but family friendly. Food was good.

The show was wonderful. Service left a little to be desired, especially when we were ignored after not wanting alcoholic drinks. Food was acceptable but not fantastic. Despite all this, the music and atmosphere was worth the trip.
