Another destination on the Extranomical Day Tour.

A very interesting place, that was one of the sights we saw on the Extranomical Day Tour. Don, our guide gave us a great background story on the museum.

This museum is not for kids, it's mostly static images/words/artifacts with some short movie clips. the point is to tell disney's personal and business story instead of to entertain, so young kids will be bored. I found the exhibits describing his early business challenges of the 20s/30s to be the most interesting, where he is double-crossed several times by people... More

Don't let the plain exterior fool you. This museum holds more than you expect, and has some very high-tech exhibits. It was great to see things (like Disney's Oscars, and a multi-plan camera) that I've only ever read about. It really is a very comprehensive history of Disney from his family roots to his ideas for Epcot. Lots and lots... More

The museum is very well done and focuses on Walt Disney from his birth to his death. It is very interesting with great memorabilia, however our kids were getting antsy very quickly so we did not stay too long. It was a little expensive even with the AAA discount.

We were told about the museum whilst stood in a queue for the Castro theatre. Having grown up with Disney this sounded like an interesting exhibition and off we went. The museum is extensive and gives you a real deep insight into the early days of the Disney family and their journey through Hollywood and ultimately to the creation of... More

I saw the temporary exhibiton on Dali and Walt disney - and never realised they were acquianted, nor how much surrealism there is in a walt disney or marks brothers film - until I heard that Dali thought so. He was right! by the way, the musum is also in a lovely setting great for walking, with a few other... More

I didn't get much out of my visit to this attraction. I won't be visiting any time soon again. It was boring.

We had a great time at the museum with our younger son, who is more arts-oriented. There is quite a bit of fun information that is accessible and interactive for younger children. We did not bring our tween boy, and I would not recommend it as I think he would be bored being less interested in Disney and cartoons at... More

This was an awesome way to spend an evening; I only wish we'd given ourselves more time! We got to see so many cool things, like all of Walt's Oscars, including the special set of seven diminutive statues custom-made for Snow White (I'm pretty sure I'd never been that close to an Oscar before); the original plans for Disneyland; the...
