On June 7, 1974, Steve Silver produced a small show in the back room of the Savoy Tivoli Restaurant in San Francisco. The show was to run for six weeks. That was over 37 years ago... Today, Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon has the distinguished title of "World's Longest Running Musical Revue." The show - a musical spoof known internationally for its extravagant costumes, outrageous hats, show-stopping numbers and hilarious puns of pop culture and political character - has been seen by over 5.5 Million people, including HRC Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall as well as some of Hollywood's biggest stars. "Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon," hailed as "a constant cascade of showstoppers" by the "San Francisco Chronicle", follows Snow White as she takes a fast-paced journey around the world in search of her "Prince Charming." Along the way she encounters a star-studded, ever-changing line-up of hilarious political and pop-culture characters including Donald and Melania Trump, Adele, Hillary & Bill Clinton, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, President Barack & Michelle Obama, Hamilton, Bernie Sanders, Sia, Taylor Swift, Vladimir Putin, Chris Christie, Barbra Streisand, Miley Cyrus, Orange is the New Black, Empire's Cookie, Oprah and the San Francisco Giants

What a ripoff. Paid full price tickets for snooty waiters with overpriced drinks. Sat in the back with terrible views. Had more fun entertainment walking to the theatre.

It's all about hats :) a great cabaret show, good singers and a lot of laugh. Sometimes the storyline seems a bit artificial but in the end its very funny.

Talented cast with great vocals. Fun relevant comedy and entertaining. Seating arrangement is a bit odd. Drink service was spotting, but I think seating arrangement contributed to that.

The show is lively with non-stop music and singing. The cast perform without a break for and hour and a half. Cannot describe details too much to prevent spoilers. Current events are woven throughout the show in a manner that provides constant amusement. A show...More

Thank you for the review of the show. We change the content regularly to keep up with current events and sometimes the lyrics change nightly to reflect the fast-pace of political events! On Sundays we welcome all ages to our shows where no alcohol is...More

This is the second time we have been here. The show is funny with all the singing, jokes and costumes. The comedy is based on current political events and done very well. Being San Francisco I was expecting a lot of negative jokes about Trump...More

The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.

Looking to save money- looking at the seating chart it seems that rear balcony is the only area where it is stadium seating. (raised rows) If I sit somewhere in rear balcony (cheapest seats)- can I see even if there is someone tall in front of me? Will I still have a good view of the stage? Afraid to get center balcony in case theres someone tall in front of me, plus it doesn't look like raised rows

The entire balcony (minus the Side Boxes) is stadium-style seating. Each row is below the row behind it. The Rear Balcony is the most inexpensive section in the theater, but you will have stadium seats in the Center... More

Based on your experience, is it better to buy seats in the Magnin Box balcony or Premium Orchestra ground level?

We think both seats are excellent and provide reserved seating. The Premium Orchestra seats are located on the main floor of the theater, about four rows from the stage. You'll be at a cabaret table with chairs. The... More

Forgot to ask- what kind of seats are there? Do all seats have backs? I read that some are benches

Thank you for the question. All seats have backs to them. The Rear Balcony section is comprised of padded benches with padded backs.
