This is an experience that is hard to put into words. From the moment you arrive to the house, you feel you are stepping into a place where weird and truth are sacred, and you have to be comfortable being a little uncomfortable. Each piece of the house is exquisite visual and physical art that is inspired by different cultures and acrobatic pieces, so on one level, you are amazed and overwhelmed trying to take in every inch of it. Then, the tour is guided as a performative story, and to keep going, you have to answer deep questions with your friends and/or strangers on the tour. This is fantastic if you are willing to open yourself to the experience! I feel closer to myself and to my friends because of it. We loved our tour, loved our guide, and would definitely like to come back again!

A lewis carroll inspired initiation ritual, participatory theater… wow. Impressive place. Well worth the price of admission. The experience was psychedelic and self reflective, fun with a group of strangers. Seeing others participate was as fun as participating myself. The tour guide had a great sense of humor but took the experience he was giving us seriously. I know it changes constantly and I don’t want to give away too much. Best to go into this with no expectations and an open mind.

This was a truly unique and enriching experience even as a solo traveler, particularly if you are willing to be curious and engage. The folks coordinating the events were available to answer questions before arriving and once on site. The way that the rooms and tour are set up, there is so much to see and think about that I imagine each tour grouping can have a different experience as they go through, based on what comes up for them.

This place is so, so incredible! We were able to do a photoshoot here and every single room was mindblowing. There are so many details in each room that you could spend hours there just finding new things and appreciating the way it all comes together. Additionally, the staff and team there is comprised of some of the nicest people ever! They are so welcoming, kind, accommodating and we loved hearing their stories about how the place came to be. They also served us a delicious lunch and they were such wonderful hosts. This place is a must visit if you're in SF and definitely a must if you're looking to do a photoshoot or host an event. I really loved everything, the place, the people and the hospitality and we're so grateful for how easy they made the process and how they allowed us to use their thoughtfully decorated and planned spaces.

So grateful for the incredible tour Marcelo gave us yesterday at Gregangelo art museum. My husband had a wonderful birthday there and beyond the abundance of magnificent art, what truly stood out was the unforgettable bonding experience Marcelo created for us as a couple.
The way he weaved ridles with art to engage us in meaningful conversations left a lasting impression on both of us. We came expecting to admire the constellations, but we left with a deeper appreciation for our relationship. It was a 1-1.5 hr personal journey. Much beyond any museum would give you.

So glad that you enjoyed your riddle of the sphinx journey and that it brought you and your partner closer together. Marcelo also spoke very highly of you both.

This was an inner journey in an art-rich environment. Took my younger brother, 89-year-old mother, and godmother of both my children based on the rave recommendations of my adult daughter. Nick is your inner and outer guide - skilled at deepening conversations, such that you savor your own and other's humanity, while appreciating the rich art around you. Nick is an extraordinary human - and artist. We were so very fortunate to have him!

We experienced the Fairy Tour led by Michelle Musser and the magical mouse Merlin. It was charming in every way, really incorporating the magic of the Gregangelo Museum and tailoring it for kids. It’s a small and very personal tour, perfect for birthday party or just a special adventure

Fairy garden and house tour with jinx the fairy.
The house and gardens are amazing and Jinx the fairy was an incredible tour guide.
We were a group of four adults and two children and jinx kept everyone captivated and entertained. She was funny, charming, kind, and patient with the kids, and just a delight.
The tour and the house represent the best of San Francisco; creative, artistic people, creating totally unique experiences with love and attention to detail.
Thank you Chinx, and thank you Merlin, the mouse! We will be back!

Does anyone know the title of the little black hardback book of interesting questions that they use in the museum?
The book is called "How Far Will You Go."

We are staying in Carmel the week of December 7th and were thinking of a day trip to San Francisco. How far in advance do we need to book a tour?

I would go on their website, I don't know if they have tours the week of Dec 8. But, you could email them and see what is available, you can find their website by googling (for some reason URL's are not allowed by tripadvisor in the answer) there is a web-based contact form on their website
