Bike the Bridge! At Blazing Saddles Bike Rental and Tours we want our guests to come away from a day on our bikes feeling as if they have just experienced the very best that our city has to offer. Whether it is a local resident enjoying our state of the art equipment or a visitor seeing the city for the first time, we encourage our riders to enjoy the bike friendly environment of San Francisco. Blazing Saddles was one of the first in the industry to develop a proprietary map of suggested routes and points of interest, and we have been a major pioneer in promoting cycling through the Presidio National Park, over the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sausalito and Tiburon. All of our seven locations in San Francisco have easy access to a car-free bike path that winds around the city by the bay. We have the largest fleet of bikes in San Francisco, including state of the art electric bikes, tandems and kids' bikes. We also have high performance road and mountain bikes for those who want to explore Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Mt. Tamalpais State Park. We rent bikes 365 days a year and are open at 8am every day. For those that want something more, we offer a daily tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. No reservations necessary.

When we arrived in San Francisco the weather was beautiful so we thought what better way to see the city than on a bike. (A lot of other people had the same idea) I looked at a few other bike hire companies but in the...More

Highly recommend biking across the bridge! Just beware that blazing saddles forces you to take their ferry tickets! We bought ferry tickets and the bike rental from the hotel concierge and the bike rental place just brushed off the pre paid ferry tickets and handed...More

We decided mid afternoon to Ride the Bridge, just walked in and the service couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The usual paperwork and a quick safety lesson and we were on our way with good directions from the Aussie who worked there. Made...More

My wife and I decided that we did not want to ruin the experience by walking our bikes the whole way. We both go to the gym but agreed that we may not make it without assistance. E-bikes can only be picked up at fisherman’s...More

The bikes were not that good and they charge for a minimum of two hours without mentioning upfront. They also force you to get tickets to ferry even if you don’t want to use it. You can return it though.

We used Blazing Saddles bikes on our recent trip to San Francisco and would recommended them to others. We reserved our bikes ahead of time and saved 20% by doing so. The pickup location was only two blocks away from our hotel. They were friendly...More

Great experience. I was out the door with a fairly decent bike and a helmet within 10-15 minutes of walking in the door. I'm sure if you have very specific needs or are a bike snob this would not be good, but when you want...More

How early you start out depends on how long you want to ride. We started at 9 AM, downtown, and rode through Haight-Ashbury, Golden Gate Park and Oceanpoint before heading across the bridge. It took us five hours... but... More
Hi, We will be staying 3 nights in San Fran from 1st January 2017. Just wondering what the weather would be like riding around on the 1st or 3rd January?! Will it be too cold to ride around?! As we wanted to visit Sausalito, there were lots of review to bike on route along the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. We can hang around the area for a few hours before heading back via ferry to San Fran. How long will it take for us to ride from the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito? On your website, it also mentions that we don't need to book as there are plenty of bikes for hire. Is this correct? That way we can suss out how we are feeling after a very long flight. This will be our very 1st trip to the US and also renting out a bike if needed. Looking forward to it all. Thanks in advance for answering my question.
