Great shopping with Italian Shops. Items you can't purchase online. The food is amazing! Coit Tower gives you 360 degree views of the entire city and Bay Area. Easy walk to Lombard St.

I suppose this would be more of an attraction for me if I were into the nightlife scene for which this area is well-known. I do love Italian restaurants though, and it’s easy to see why part of North Beach has been dubbed “Little Italy.”...More

You'll find phenomenal restaurants throughout the area, but be sure to eat a pizza at Tony's! Enjoy an easy stroll as you head from Union Square through Chinatown to North Beach and down to the water for amazing views of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate.

This is a great part of town to walk around and build up an appetite for great Italian food. The hills, like the rest of San Francisco are steep.

If you get a chance take a walk through North Beach, it's such a beautiful historic part of San Fran that shouldn't be missed.

neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.
