Wandering through Fisherman's Wharf is always a pleasure with quaint shops and of course, the seals at end of Pier 39.

san Francisco without Fishermans Wharf is like New York without the Empire State Building. It is just a must see. Great for a stroll or Lunch/dinner. Great for every age

I know, a corny title, but it's so true. This area used to be exciting, colourful and above all safe. Our teenagers were very wary walking around the Wharf area, shops selling cheap souvenirs were everywhere, as were homeless people. The calibre of the area...More

Parking is hell. We found a great place 10am-3pm for $10. Head east on beach its on your right side near pier 39. Don't expect true value anything.

Fishermans Wharf is where we seemed to end up most days. Good atmosphere and a starting or finishing point for a number of activites like segway tour, Alcatraz; biking etc. Very touristy shops and an assortment of food places of varying quality and price

I believe its Pier 39 near the boats for Alcatraz. There's some rides and shops and if you walk behind the stores along the water, you will catch the seals basking on some wood floats.
