travel to the Bay Bridge and walk across. looking back at the city and around the bay is stunning. as long as it's not a sea foggy day.

Spanning about a mile, San Francisco's iconic bridge must be walked at least once. Yes, it can be crowded, yes, the cars are noisy, and yes, it is probably chilly or windy, but layer up and join the crowd. The views of the city, the Bay with its sailboats, tankers, and windsurfers, and the Marin headlands are worth it, and... More

Visited SF in September 2016, but it was very cool and overcast. Crossed the bridge on the hop-on tour bus, but it was like a wind tunnel and really cold so you had to look straight ahead. The other time when we drove to SoCal, it was very foggy so you couldn't see too much. Too bad. Missed the humpback... More

This bridge is beautiful and always busy! Such great views of the bay from her and can walk or ride a bike across. Must see the Golden Gate Bridge once in your life!

San Francisco - The best place in the world. I love living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I love living in a culturally diverse area surrounded by suburbia, yet I the calming bay is just a few miles away. I love being able to wear summer clothes for most of the year. I have lived here for 30 years... More

Anywhere on the bay, you'll find great views and great things t do. The Wharf area not only offers great restaurants and other attractions, but watching the sea lions is an added treat. Sightseeing cruises are available here. Historic Navy vessels are available for tours. Park areas, green belts, and historic buildings and grounds also make the are the best... More

Check the weather before you go if you want a clear view, I went 3 times during my trip, the first two it was cloudy so there was no chance at a clear shot of the bridge, but when it was clear it was lovely.

What most people don't know is that the bay has been a dumping ground for countless garbage. Despite that it's real pretty.
