Listening to the Sounds of Nature we were able to be in the 'Silence' that we were looking for, in the Presence that we wanted to be in. Birds welcoming us to their habitat in order to enable us to merge with the essence of Nature that we undoubtedly belong with.
The swift movement of squirrels & rabbits we couldn't quite see as we were ourselves to fast in our thoughts, but the still and scintilatting waves of the bay somehow enabled us to 'slow down' from all the stresses that the city lifestyle impinge on us with the swift movement of life over the pretty rolling hills of San Francisco, CA.
We shall certainly return to this 'Lil' paradiso'
Highly Recommend this awesome Trail for even a short stroll to kick back, relax & unwind.

We had a longer hike to see more of this very long 350 mile in the San Francisco Bay Area. Its gorgeous from both a trail perspective and view perspective.

Lovely nature trails through the Presidio area of San Franscisco. Interesting earthworks sculpture by Andy Goldsworthy at the top of the trail. Eucalyptus smells, views of Alcatraz and very peaceful. Worth a look.

We have taken parts of the San Francisco Bay Area Ridge Trail, which is continuing to be made. Right now, there are over 350 miles of trails throughout the San Francisco Bay area, We have usually done it by hikes (or some is fine just for walks). Equestrians and bikers can enjoy 80 per cent of the trail. The plan is to have it so one can do the entire Bay Area on the trail, but some of the areas are still being negotiated as they are on private property.

Sections are known by other names (i.e. some are part of trail systems in other parks). On the trail one can see amazing views. We have enjoyed stunning views of the Bay, the Pacific Ocean, mountains, and the cities around the San Francisco Bay Area.

One can see redwoods, forests, wild flowers, grasslands and more. On the area closer to San Francisco, there are stellar views of the Golden Gate Bridge.

We have utilized the web site for trail information. It also tells more about the history and status of building this trail in the San Francisco Bay Area. There is an interactive map to help in planning which area of the trail one might want to explore.\

The amount of time it takes for the trail depends which section one wants to explore, Given the total length of the trail it would take many days to do it all.
