We liked the Aquatic park area. The whole park kept very clean and was a nice area to relax, take a walk, take in the sights, sit by the water, or even take a trolley car.

This is the end of the line for the Powell-Hyde cable car, adjacent to Ghiaradelli Square. The long pier that curves out into the bay offers great views and photo ops of the Golden Gate bridge, Alcatraz, Fishermans Wharf, and the city itself. Much quieter...More

Just next to Ghirardelli square lies a nice park with water access and a small and pleasant beach. It was a good change in pace during our visit. Kids can play around and spend some of their energy before continuing to other areas.
