You can't beat the city views from the Golden Gate Bridge. It's iconic nature makes it a must see on a visit to the city. Take a bus tour across it or walk. Either makes for a nice time, but all of the other tourists...More

Love the Golden Gate Bridge! If you go to San Francisco, you just have to go there and see it! If you have the chance, I strongly recommend going over to the Marin Headlands to see it, and also get a great San Francisco backdrop...More

When arriving in San Francisco for the first time the Golden Gate Bridge was our first spot to stop. As others have stated, it was amazing to see in person and definitely worth a visit. It is impressive and beautiful!

I wasn't sure where I would get the best view of the bridge so I walked from Presidio Park. It was quite a hike, but the weather was beautiful and the sites along the way made it nice.

Hi, approximately 20 min butik taxi. But 30 min biking from Fishermans Wharf is much more fun.

We biked (rented from blazing saddles) and loved it! Personally I would do that again. But you could easily Uber, walk back and forth then walk back toward the wharf as far as you wanted then Uber the rest.

Does anyone know if I can use my iPass from Illinois in place of Fastrak, since it appears you can no longer pay cash to drive across the bridge? All I could find when searching online was a 2014 article saying iPass might soon be accepted in CA. Hoping to avoid the fees from the rental car company by having my own transponder. Thanks!

I can't answer your question re ipass but we had a rental and we phoned the number on the website and paid over the phone. You can also pay on line it just wouldn't take our card as it's from the UK.
