Dress warm! I walked the bridge back and forth and it was so windy in late April. Wear a fleece and a wind-proof hooded jacket. The views are beautiful and this is obviously an icon of San Francisco.

Nothing like the beauty and scenery of the bridge and the lovely vistas around. It can get quite crowded with walkers, especially on the weekend.

For couples, romantic or otherwise, a walk across the bridge gives you a feeling of grandiose because of its colossal size and structure. A must see in SF!

My coworkers and I took an Uber from the Financial District early in the morning to run across the bridge and back. Distance is approximately 3.2 miles roundtrip. We picked a great 60 degree morning with clear skies and got to enjoy the wonderful view without so many tourists. Visit early when it is peaceful. I wish the walking and... More

This is definitely a must see. You can't go to SF and not visit this place. The view is amazing and you can walk all the way down to the beach level and watch the surfers. You can see alcatraz island out far and you can walk over onto the bridge itself. Some people ride across on bikes which seemed... More

The Golden Gate Bridge is amazing to see in person. After seeing it in photos and and in movies nothing compares to seeing it with your own eyes. Truly amazing thing to see

We took a coach trip that stopped so we could get out at the view point, we were lucky as it's often misty and you can't see the whole thing. The trip then took us to see the giant redwoods, I booked it in the U.K. online before we left. We also did a boat trip so we went under... More
