We drove up on a Tuesday afternoon with perfect weather. We were able to get a parking spot, but be warned that they don't allow parking on weekends. There were a few nice views at the ground level if you peaked between the trees. Apparently,...More

I recommend visiting Coit Tower if the lines appear to be reasonable (the end of the line still within the building). We waited about 45 minutes to board the one elevator that takes you to the top. The artwork on the walls inside makes the...More

We had to wait about 20 minutes in the queue before we could get in the lift and go up the tower. There are no stairs to take, so you have to wait and there's one lift only that fits about 6 people. The adult...More

We have been to San Francisco many times as our son lives there and as we drove up to the tower discussing the many movies the tower has been in, we found a parking spot and that the tower was open for tours. It was...More

I absolutely loved the murals at the Coit Tower. It is free to go and see those, so if you have been to a few of the other sightline view locations (ie. DeYoung Museum or the Hilton hotel etc), save your money and time and...More

This San Francisco landmark is worth a visit and has nice scenic views. I enjoyed relating to the classic Dirty Harry movie setting.

The Coit Tower was intended from the outset to be an addition to enhance the skyline. It's done that well since the 1930s. The interior offers some of the classic Public Art of the Depression Era, controversial at the time. It's a quick elevator ride...More

I would recommend this. A beautiful view and great picture spot. Also we walked down Telegraph Hill , Such a scenic area. Can also take public transportation and that will get you right to the tower.

There is only One Coit Tower...climb the many many stairs, it is so worth it! The views are spectacular and the WPO murals that decorate COIT tower are phenomenal and historical.

The site of Coit Tower is beautiful , traveling up to and around the area is so worth your time . I love the history of this tribute , and at night wow so exciting .

North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.

Don't think I can help you because my husband and I seen the tower from the road and wondered what it was. We walked up the hill (very steep) and paid at the entrance which is just inside the door. There was no queues and no... More

The only way is the elevator . But if you want steps, you could walk up the 483 steps from Filbert to get to the tower itself! We did it and we are 60+ . And yes, we were happy to see the elevator inside. They also give a... More
