If you go to have a look at the winding street that is Lombard, stop in at the nearby San Francisco Art Institute to experience the mural that Diego Rivera painted there.

This is a very cool art institute with a huge Diego Rivera mural in their main gallery space. You can just drop by without tickets or any pre-planning. Check out their rooftop cafe for a coffee break and some killer views of the bay.

The forecourt with its fountain and greenery are so serene, and the art on the surrounding walls very interesting. Upstairs their is a cafe / canteen and also great views across SFO. On the lower level the students were working on their projects. A very...More

The rooftop deck of the S.F.Art Institute is a fantastic place to photograph San Francisco night or day. You also get to view the atrwork of the students on display there.

A beautiful school in a beautiful neighborhood with beautiful students creating beautiful works of art. Not to mention the beautiful Diego Rivera mural inside. Be sure to go to the roof, so you can get beautiful views and enjoy the cafe as well.
