We parked on the street and got out of our car for 10 minutes to snap a photo of the infamous painted ladies. When we came back, someone broke our car window and stole two bags from the car. Two other cars were broken into...More

They don't build them like this today, but the Painted Ladies are beautiful reminders of San Francisco's past and the way that San Francisco meshes its past with the scant garde. Things like this don't just happen. Credit to those who replaced the old Navy...More

While esthetically pleasant, stopping by to see these houses is not worth the trip. It was more entertaining to watch the hundreds of people sitting in the adjacent park mesmerized by the houses. I guess if you are a super fan of Full House it's...More

WE went in April and the whole Alamo Square opposite was closed to renovations so it was disappointing we could't sit in the park and enjoy the view. The houses and street was amazing though. Not easy to get to go either by public transport.

I expected to get to the hill take a couple pictures and then head out. But it is actually an awesome view all around, especially the painted ladies with skyline in background. Grab a seat and enjoy.

This is definitely a must-see especially in great weather! When I visited in November 2016, the park in front of the Painted Ladies was closed for renovation. Check before you go if the park is open because that's the best place you can take photos...More

Quick ride on the city bus to catch a picture. A must do in San Francisco! Some construction in the park, but still able to get a great view.

There are only a handful of victorian houses to see at the address mentioned. I did not really find it worth a great deal.
