Old navy ship that you can enter for $20,- a person.... Most of the boat is in an old state, more care could preserve it for a longer time.

We didn't really know about this attraction. We were on the way to see the SS Jeremiah O'Brien, but mu husband wanted to see something that had seen action as more than a cargo ship. We paid twenty dollars and went on an audio tour of the submarine. It was very interesting and we really enjoyed it!

Being in the Navy myself, it was a must to visit the USS Pampanito and to honor all the brave man and woman who fought in WW2. Great self guided audio tour and very nice volunteers. Thank you for the military discount!!! :-)

Very friendly staff and nice to see such a working piece of Machinery being preserved. Unfortunately no audio tour available which could have been helpful.

This is a US WW2 era submarine and you follow an excellent self guided audio tour through the boat gaining access to all compartments along the way Having been in a couple of other subs in the UK this one is slightly larger than its UK equal and was great fun to explore and hear from the actual sailors who... It was good to finally get on a submarine and see just how cramped these things were in WW2. Very well kept exhibit and really gives you a good feel for how men lived on these things for months at a time in war conditions. Well worth the visit.

Unbelievable to be inside a ww2 sub. After conquered fear that it might feel claustrophobic lol,,,,,it did not feel like it. It was interesting to see how every inch of room was utilised. So glad I visited it and it was worth the money as an attraction.

We decided to take a tour of this submarine as we had reciprocal free passes from our local museum. We have always wanted to tour a submarine. Not sure what we were thinking as we climbed down a steep stairway backwards, as we are not spring chickens. Pampanito's keel was laid down by the Portsmouth Navy Yard in Kittery, Maine... More

This is my third WW2 sub I have checked out now, so for me it is not going to be as exciting as it would be for someone who has never seen this kind of thing. I will say this was the widest thus far, as I am 6' and 240 where I was not cramped as in previous tours.... More
