I watch a lot of live shows across the country and it's always interesting to note the number of performers, half-way through a show, comment on how much they enjoy playing here. Whether it's the legendary history of performers and performances, the great lighting, the...More

a long time dream to see a show at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco. A classic 1200 person auditorium music venue. There are no seats so come early and take your place but its small enough that you can move around and enjoy the...More

Name a great band and they’ve probably played here. One of, or maybe... simply, “the” best place in San Francisco for live music. A smaller (almost all standing room only) auditorium that’s filled with posters from the past few decades of bands (ranging the full...More

My first time there and the place is an incredible experience. All of the history and memorabilia. Sammy and friends killed it. What an epic experience.

This was our first visit to the San Francisco Fillmore to see : Night Ranger , I will definitely be going back ! The place is iconic and brings back the up close and personal concert experience rather than the arena or amphitheater most concerts...More

Saw Jordan Rakei there and the venue is dope! Vintage photographs and art from previous performers decorate the walls and chandeliers add to the classic vibes. The sound system was not old school though. Great uniform sound that allowed the vocals to come through without...More

I've been attending musical events at the Fillmore for almost 50 years. Although the music has changed, the feeling inside this magical theater has not. The psychedelic vibes are palpable. I seen acts as diverse as Grateful Dead to X, Hot Tuna to jazz. The...More

Although there are apparently still events held here, there is no access except to an event. A shame that there is not at least some type of memorial to the fame of the place.

The Fillmore is my favorite because it's so small. Easy to get up front and get sucked in to the music.I'm in my 60s and have been there a lot. But,for the first time I felt hassled there. I had an expired driver's license with...More

Great venue. Easily reached from downtown via buss 38. Non-US citizens: you need a passport to get bar stamp. Drivers licence etc wont be enough and you will not be able to buy alcohol.

Just been here to see primal scream. Found it great venue and enjoyed the gig. Word of warming though don't walk past it for a drink. Very shady neighbour hood. Like a lot of San Francisco I guess
