St. Saviour is an historical Episcopal church. The oldest part of the church was begun in 1876; later parts were added through 1901, including the renowned collection of stained glass windows by Tiffany and others. The parish is still active today, and we invite you to visit for a tour, for worship, or just for a moment of quiet respite in your day. During the tourist season (June - October), the church is open daily from about 8:30 - 5:00 for self-guided tours. Guided tours Sunday 11:15 (after the 10:00 Eucharist) and other times by appointment. The Church office (next door) is open Tuesday-Friday 8:30 - 1:30 year-round. May God continue to bless you!

This is a beautiful quiet little church located up the hill from the busy shopping area in Bar Harbor. The windows are gorgeous Tiffany Glass. It is always open and welcoming for visitors to browse and a must see for the windows.

Very unusual for having it bell tower open in the grounds, would not like to ring them in harsh winter. Inside the church it is very peaceful and the stained glass windows are incredible, some of them by tiffany.

Beautiful church that was both welcoming and peaceful, respectful of its traditions and of its religion. Certainly a must for quick visit

It's worth a visit to the St Saviour's Church alone if only to see the gravestones from the Revolutionary War era. St Saviour's Church was actually founded by Jesuit missionaries as the first Catholic Church here in the US (in the early 1600's). But apparently,...More

We stopped by to look at the beautiful stained glass windows - gorgeous. The church structure itself is amazing, all the exposed beams are something to look at. Great for a short stop - worth the time.

Stopped by for a quick visit while heading to lunch nearby. Beautiful church and nice place to rest for a bit and admire the design. Listened for a few moments to a tour group that was inside when we arrived.

They were having Sunday service when we stopped by so we didn't want to crash that. We stopped by the next day and the church doors were locked. I guess you have to time your visits otherwise you'll only be able to do what we...More
