The village green is a nice place to spend a little time. We had to wait there for quite some time waiting for buses. The fountain is beautiful and so are the flower beds. It's on a slight slope and is surrounded by a lot of establishments. I wouldn't really call it an attraction.

A really nice area in the middle of the shopping/dining streets of the town. It's full of all sorts of great historical markers telling about the town. If you enjoy history, you'll enjoy this.

Spent the morning walking around Bar Harbor, starting with the beautiful park on the hill opposite the harbour. (Free wi-fi) A typical ( upmarket ) fishing village. Stephen King, the author, lives nearby in Bangor. Am sure he pops into the shops on a regular basis. Didn't run into him unfortunately. Reminded me a little of Carmel in California. A... More

Very quaint and great stores! Sorry that we went late in the day because we did a boat ride earlier. Would have enjoyed spending more time here.

Important town park, the hub of activity here on Main Street. Nice spot to meet fellow tourists. Tourist bus stops close by.

It's small but cute and a nice little Place to take a small break or enjoy a cup of coffee. The clock which lines the park is pretty and they have some historic plaques describing some things in the park.

We picked up all of the Islander Excursion busses right here. Lots of flowers, benches to use while we were waiting. Got to meet other travelers and their pets.

This park is the center for shopping and catching the bus. Pretty flowers and a water feature makeit a peaceful place to rest.

Great town for walking around. The fog rolled into the town in the early evening What a nice surprise. Made me wish we were there 100 years ago.

This park is easy to walk to from just about any hotel in town. The Island explorer ( free shuttle to the national park) main stop is here . very close to shops the grab a quick bite and sit in the park or green and enjoy the scenery and people watch.
