Loved our stay in Bar Harbor with the amazing views of Frenchman Bay. We had stunning views from our hotel. It was like a beautiful movie scene everyday with boats and the islands and even the thick fog was magical.

We were amazed at how clean the harbor and bay were. We took a kayaking trip out into the bay and around some islands. Highly recommended!

The Bay on which Bar Harbor is located attracts sea birds, fish, seals, boaters, swimmers, and more. You cannot enjoy the beauty of Bar Harbor until you have explored Frenchman Bay. There are dozens of tours that include some type of boating on the bay.

From sail boats to lobster boats, and everything in between, Frenchman's Harbor is a delight. There are multiple waterside restaurants available, and free city parking lots. Warning: Lots fill quickly, so parking can be a problem.

You actually dock in Frenchman Bay. Although, the cruise ships are too large to actually dock. You will take a tender into Bar Harbor.

It is very difficult to find beach glass in Bar Harbor. It is not worth looking for anything.
