Must do!

We spent a whole day exploring Acadia National Park, from the woodlands to the coast -- really beautiful -- strongly suggest that you spend some time here while in Bar Harbor.

I;ve had the privilege of kayaking, walking, biking, scooter touring, and sailing around Frenchman's Bay. So many things to do and they aren't even that expensive. The food here is great. You can't get a bad meal in Bar Harbor.

Went with my family in April for school vacation. We had a great time. We walked along the Ocean path, we walked around Jordan Pond, we climbed the Bee Hive, and we drove to the top of Cadillac at sunset. I was wary about going this time of year but it worked out well. It wasn't crowded at all. My... More

We had a 5+ mile walk along the ocean path, wonderful trail and views. There is some climbing involved, was rated easy, which it was for us, but would question that for those less fit. Many photo opportunities, a must see.

My friends and I primarily stayed in Bar Harbor or Acadia National Park, but we drove around the island a few times and we were rewarded with some spectacular views. If you do go to the island then I would suggest saving most of your time for Acadia or for Bar Harbor, but driving around to the lighthouses is worth... More

If you are in the area, This is something really cool to see when the ocean is on low tide. My family found it great how the water went away and the sand showed itself

What a peaceful place! We were off season, almost alone, sunny day, it was amazing. Every stops are worth it so two days is okay i guess. We planned and took a pic nic with us, and were so happy to lunch wherever we wanted face to an incredible view on the sea! The top of the mountain make you... More

Beautiful island with gorgeous views from Cadillac Mountain. Stay on Cadillac for sunset and enjoy stargazing. Do not go around the first of May. Most stores and restuarants are still closed for the winter season. Pack warm clothes...it turns cold quickly when sun goes down.

The granite cliffs were amazing. Perfect for a picnic, spent time on the cliffs relaxing and in total awe of nature. So nice we visited three days in a row

We loved the hiking, the beach and even on Labor Day weekend we found peace and solitude! WE walked, visited the beach, took hikes and visited the Nature Center. Of course we also got up to watch the sunrise at 5 am from Cadillac Mountain! Never will forget that experience with my kids!
