A nice public park with lifeguard on duty. Great for snorkeling (bring your own gear)! Swimmers should wear footwear to protect for coral and critters. No charge to access the park. Free parking. Showers to rise off after swimming.

Water was clear you can see fishes swim in surface... Underwater lots of different type of fishes and corals you may see.. Two lifeguards stationed so felt safe for me and my Japanese friend.

Ypao Beach Park is fantastic. There's plenty of room to run around in the grass or have a bbq. The beach itself is probably the most popular on Guam for tourists and locals alike. The water is a wildlife preserve, so bring a snorkel, life...More

You really should go to this park when on Guam. It provides access to Tumon Bay where you can walk from one end to the other. It is one of the better places on Guam to snorkel as fishing is mostly not allowed in the...More

Ypao beach park is always a good place to hang out and BBQ with family and friends. We most recently spent Labor Day there and it was great.

Beautiful beach, and I especially love the fact that there is usually a lifeguard. This is a marine preserve where you will find tons of gorgeous tropical fish when snorkeling.

Ypao Beach was my favorite among all the beaches in Guam. It is clean and not too crowded during the time we went there. You can see the hotels and buildings from the Downtown area.

This beach is busy during the weekends as locals celebrate birthdays, reunions, or picnics. Parking can be limited if you go late.

Beautiful scenery. Great snorkeling. Lots of locals bbq. Fun family spot to hang out at over the weekend. Sundays are extremely packed though.

The ABC stores have snorkels that range from 10 USD all the way up to 40 USD. I bought my son one for 20 and it works fine. There are also several other shops in the area that sell snorkel, SCUBA, and surfing items.
