Not crowded and wonderful snorkeling surfing. Mountains behind you as you enjoy the surf. Lifeguards are super friendly but be careful of strong current

A nice beach along the West coast away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. You will find many local surfers and swimmers. Does not seem to interesting for snorkeling.

On a good day the surf is up and surfing rules and then there were flat days and the snorkeling is ok. I like this side of the Island...not so busy!

We live close by and this is our beach of choice on the Leeward side. Lifeguards are awesome, saved my brother's life one day. RESPECT the ocean at all times but esp here. Never turn your back to it! Gorgeous views, lots of local talented...More

So glad we went off the tourist path and drove to the west side to visit this beach. There was a really cool family surfing contest going on at one side of the beach and the other side was so chill and relaxing. A lot...More

While on our visit to O'ahu we drove the entire perimeter roadway around the island. On one late afternoon we drove up the coast from Kapolei to Makaha Beach Park to catch the sunset. The traffic is heavy much of the way up there at...More

We really enjoyed this beach. It is a big white sand beach with lots of room to play. The water is swimmable most days and is good for boogie boarding. There is a bathroom across the street with showers.

also has a lot of homeless People camping on the beach. This coast is populated mostly by Hawaians and a lot of houses are old, not taken care of, and generally run down. Derelict cars on every street. There is only one street in and...More

This place is great. If you’re looking to snorkel, there are fish everywhere and it won’t be very hard to find sea turtles swimming around underwater. If you’re into surfing, there are waves on the right side of the beach, just make sure not to...More

Nice vibe in the line up. Was crowded but surfers were mellow. Excellent place to surf and Waianae is a great town to base as it is off the tourist trail and has great local places to eat and good breaks.

We were not mistreated or bothered while we were there, and we kept to ourselves at the far end of the beach, where it was not very crowded. I don't tend to think about or notice "colors or races" of people, but looking... More

Aloha Loo, I think your best bet for the reunion site would be Maili beach park, it has a large grassy area as well as a beach, you will need to rent a pavilion/tent type thing, I am not sure of the restroom situation here... More
