There's maybe 20 parking spots available but they fill up early. This is a residential area so make sure you don't park in a prohibited area. The parking can be found at 68631 crozier Dr. and there's a public access path across from the parking.

Beautiful area away from big buildings and crowds. The mountains, shore and sea are accessible though I've not seen lifeguards and caution must be taken when going into the ocean. I've often seen turtles there, feeding around the rocks. There is horseback riding and sky-diving available. The Waialua Sugar Mill has good coffee, smoothies, cacao beans and various Hawaiiana gifts for purchase.

Me and my wife hiered out a convertable and went off to explore oahu.The highlight was when we found this deserted beach.It was like something from a film.....wow

This review is for Mokule’ia Beach Park. Some reviews seem to refer to someplace else. Mokule’ia “Army” Beach is just to the west, past Kealia Beach. There is a Mokule’la Beach a couple of miles to the east, past Polo Beach, and some seem to be for someplace else altogether. Note corrections in other reviews. T.A. has only certain places that you can review, while Google Maps will let you review most any point that you can click on, so have at it. I recommend utilizing their satellite photo to accurately verify where you stopped, parked, swam, snorkeled, walked, etc., if you’re unsure, as to better inform future travelers when posting on T.A. I know there are sometimes discrepancies between the two. I hope this helps.
Driving back from the end of Farrington Hwy (930), we turned into a paved road that encircles a sort of grassy area, directly across from Dillingham Field. It has plenty (60+) of marked parking spots. A dozen picnic tables scattered along the small sandy berm with trails to access the beach & water. Afternoon on a pretty windy day in December. No turtles spotted along the rocky shoreline. We saw a few Parasailing rigs setting up, so we waited, and got some spectacular video & photos of dudes getting serious air.
Sparse facilities, with only porta potties, one shower spot, no shade. A good place for brief stop, have a snack. Possible photo opportunities, especially if gliders, or sky divers are active. There are probably better beaches for swimming or sunning along the Waialua coast. As always, if you go off exploring, leave absolutely nothing visible inside your car. Even though this area felt very safe, one incident can spoil your whole vacation. Lots of signage posted to remind of park hours (7am-7pm), and what is prohibited, like alcohol, camping, golfing, horseshoes. Also, the park road is one way, counterclockwise, with the parking spots angled that way.

Don't leave anything in your car. Rental vehicles are an ideal target. Our vehicle was broken into on wedding day during photos.
This is the "west end"... Notorious for petty theft.
Police were nice but no help in recovering stolen items. It's on you to be safe and secure your items.

This beach is close to mile marker 32 on Highway 30. It is part of the Mokuleia Marine Life Conservation District (so don’t disturb the wildlife). There isn’t a sign that says Mokuleia Bay or Slaughterhouse Beach. Look for a sturdy metal fence (painted green). At the far end of the railing there are concrete steps that lead down to the cove. My eight year old counted 87 steps to be exact. Once you reach the bottom it opens up to a beautiful cove. There is reef to the far left and right but has a great sandy beach in the middle. The surf was too high to snorkel but it was great for playing in the waves. The sand extended out until it was too deep to touch. I body boarded some but mostly played closer to shore. The waves were consistently coming in at 4-6 feet with occasional 8-10 footers in the outside break. I went out past the waves to do some snorkeling and saw two turtles. It was not very clear due to the waves. Parking limited so get there early. We all really loved the beach. I think the stairs and parking difficulties eliminated the crowds. There were probably only 10 families total on the beach all day long. We felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. I hope to return again soon.

Don’t go there. There are sea monsters aka turtles and giant squids that will grab and eat random people. Please stay away. Why? Because really I just want this pretty beach all to myself ;)

Forget Turtle Beach, come here. We stayed at a rental home in Mokuleia and were steps away from Mokuleia Beach. We are avid snorkelers and even though it was no Shark's Cove, we decided to see what we could find. We were amazed at the amount of fish in the area and not to mention the sea turtles. I thought I was lucky to see 4 turtles the last time we visited Hawaii, but so far on this trip (which isn't over yet) we have seen a dozen or more and have seen them in the water ever time we have gone out to snorkel. Great beach that is off the beaten path.

Mokuleia beach (aka Slaughterhouse beach) is a hidden gem. Parking is limited on the side of the road and once parked you have to walk down quite a few stairs to get to the beach. Do not leave any valuables in your car as it is known to be a hot spot for car break ins..
It is a very pretty beach and unfortunately the day we went it was quite rough but on a calm day it also looked like a great snorkelling beach. There is also a hole in the fence near the parking area that if you step through gives you an awesome view over the beach however TAKE CARE as if you slip you will go over the edge of a cliff! There also no facilities such as toilets, etc

It was pretty windy the day I was there, but I am sure you could use a barbecue. BTW, it is NOT a military beach. It is open to the public.
