Great experience! We had a really wonderful tour, expertly guided by Lily and Aiden. Learning about the coffee and cacao process , machinery, grade of products and, Lilly and Aiden gave us several taste testing.

I enjoyed visiting and tasting three different chocolates. They’ll explain the bean to bar process while you’re there

Don’t recommend this at all. Hoped it would be a cool quirky place but it really was just junky. At the end of a pot-hope filled dirt road. No one said anything to us as we walked around. We bought a snack and left. Waste of time

Friendly helpful staff. Super well priced selection of souvenirs and coffees. Tour is very fun, informative and free. Unlimited free coffee samples. Unfortunately the mild roast was not available to taste. Other coffees too dark for our preference.

Bit of souvenirs, spices and coffee etc for pretty good prices! Free little tour by a worker. Then sample the different chocolate beans etc. Had a shaved ice with real fruit syrup. Pretty good! Most places I seen had the fake syrup (which they also had)
It was a fun little place you wouldnt even know was there!

I stopped by on my North Shore day as I wanted to get some coffee for home. A knowledgeable gentleman explained the different varieties and encouraged me to sample. I finally decided on a rich dark roast.

The old mill complex is rustic and authentic. Lots of offerings, some the same as you'll find anywhere on the island, some unique and local to the area. I didn't mind the lack of a/c, it's Hawai'i. I carry a fan 😁.

They do shave ice as well, it looked appetizing, some interesting flavors on offer. But I was headed to a lu'au so didn't want to spoil my appetite. Next time!

Lots of new enterprises are due to start up there, including a microbrewery, from what the residents said. I know I'll be back again.

I was happy to kind green Kona coffee beans that I've been searching everywhere for :) The place is nothing fancy because they kept the old factory vibe but I like it like this...rustic feeling :)

Came looking for some Hawaiian made chocolate. It turns out that this isn't really a factory store or anything, just a rather rundown barn turned souvenir shop that also sells island-grown coffee and chocolate in addition to the usual touristy trinkets (i.e., junk). We wandered around for a while looking for the chocolate in question before finally finding it stashed in a small refrigerator by the coffee.

Now, as most people know, you shouldn't store chocolate in a refrigerator as it will bloom (get that chalky coating on the surface which can also adversely affect its flavor). We suspect they had no choice as their building is not climate controlled and bloomed chocolate is better than melted chocolate which would perhaps be a little too obvious to customers looking at a sealed bar. However, at $10 a bar, this wasn't cheap, and we would expect (like us) most customers want their purchase to be factory fresh for that price. By the way, we also found some toffee made with Hawaiian ingredients near the fridge - it was somewhat gooey, but at least it didn't get put into the fridge, so tasted pretty good.

By the way, the address listed for this place won't quite get you here when put into your GPS - it'll get you close, but at that last turn, you should go in the opposite direction to what the GPS says and you'll find it- assuming you still have a desire to visit this place. Frankly, we think you should pass.
