Yes. It does get busy. Yes. There are lines. But you can work around it if you know that in advance. Don't go midday or early afternoon. Those are the busiest times. Go early morning or later in the afternoon - take the Pineapple Express. Touring the farm on the train will give you some insight into what they do.... More

3 main things you need to do here. Take the train ride it's about 30 mins with a quick history tour that allows you to see different plants that grows in Hawaii. Do the maze... it's the worlds largest maze... if you are good with directions then it will take you another 30 min. Last but not least try the... More

Humongous souvenir shop. That's all I can say! Nothing else going on in the 30 mins our tour guide gave us. Walked through then sat outside for the rest of the time. Don't fall for the free pearl give-a-way baskets. Just another tourist trap. Heard good things about the pineapple smoothie, but line was a mile long. Place was packed... More

We've driven by several times but this was the first time we stopped in. It's cool to see with a great gift shop but very busy. We took the train ride which was intersting but a little pricey for what you get. Try the dole whip, it's so good!

The plantation promises alot but falls short. The surrounds look pretty run down. Although it's free to get in you walk through a huge tourist shop before you enter where there are a lot of expensive knick knacks and food(ironically not much fresh pineapple). Maybe if you have small children or a thing for pineapples.

This is a complete tourist trap. It's worth a stop to walk around and say you've been. Go ahead and get the pineapple ice cream, because it's delicious, but the price is a little high. We didn't do the train or any of the other tour options, they didn't seem that interesting and were pretty pricey. We learned a little... More

I was a student visiting from New Hamshire and I loved learning about the plantation! The scenery was beautiful and the Dole Whip was incredible. I would definitely recommend visiting the plantation if you are interested, but you don't need spend your whole day there.

Our family of three visited the Dole Plantation, and had an OK experience. Not great, not terrible, but beyond the short train ride out and back to the pineapple fields, there wasn't much else of note. The garden walk was also ok, again, nothing fantastic about it but a few nice plants and trees to see. We skipped the maze,... More

Major tourist trap on the Northside. There is a short tour of the once great pineapple harvesting operation of the islands, but the place is really just a souvenir stop on the way to the North Shore. Lots of tour buses and very crowded most of the day.

We returned here for sentimental reasons, we visited this place on our honeymoon. We decided to take the train ride around which was fun and informative but the restaurant area was very busy so we decided not to eat there. They had several demonstrations whilst we were there like how to cut up a pineapple and the some chocolate making... More
