This was a short drive out of our way, but we enjoyed the drive in to the valley and the short walk up to the top. Our kids climbed in the river to cool off.

We were glad we took the drive to see the park. It's not too big so one can walk through it all in about an hour. Scenic views, lots of plants. Very peaceful

Like any trail in Hawaii, just observing the beautiful natural setting, along with some marvelous birds, will add to the tranquility. It's a bit of a hike and you get some good exercise while enjoying the park.
